Future Creative Endeavors
Transformation of Labor and Socio-Economic Systems
The Generative Arts and Design Lab at the University of Fine Arts Saar (HBKsaar) provides expertise and infrastructure for experimenting with generative artificial intelligence, fostering cross-disciplinary research that critically explores the future of learning, socio-technical systems, labor, and human–machine co-existence across artistic and cultural practices. Within this context, the Lab presents visualisations of selected project results developed as part of the HAMLET research project, shown within the framework of the “Think Inside the Box” Hackathon in Saarbrücken, 10–12 February 2026.
The presented visualisations bring together research-driven artistic and design explorations that investigate future creative practices under conditions of socio-technological change. Rather than focusing on finished products, the exhibited works foreground process. The selected works visualize future creative endeavors—ranging from products and services to artistic and hybrid forms—through posters, films, animations, and interactive media. They map steps, roles, stakeholders, and different forms of intelligence involved in creative production, drawing on frameworks such as process models, personas, and role distributions.
Positioned between artistic experimentation and research inquiry, the presented visualisations offer insight into how future-oriented design and artistic thinking can critically engage with emerging conditions of labor, technology, and responsibility.
